Eligibility:

  • Ability to commit to nine-month long program with multiple virtual and in-person touchpoints
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Executive Participant: 
    • Executives, Deputy Governors and Senior Officials from central banks and other financial regulatory agencies (e.g. banking, insurance, microfinance, pensions, etc.) in the emerging markets.
    • Part of executive/senior management team or leads a regulatory division
    • Commitment to development of gender-inclusive policy

Program Costs:

Non-members of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion: USD 8,500
Members of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion: USD 6,000

Includes tuition for two participants per institution (executive participant and high-potential woman), accommodations, breakfast, lunch, and course material, virtual touchpoints, i.e. pre and post-program webinar series.


Participants must cover all travel and incidental expenses incurred such as airfare, ground transportation, visas, insurance and additional meals. 

Limited scholarships are available.

Instructions:

  1. Application must be fully completed by the executive participant requesting admission to the program and include the name of the high-potential woman leader they are sponsoring. 
  2. Please answer "Not Applicable" where data is not available.
  3. Application should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
  4. Applications are being accepted on rolling basis until Friday, November 16, 2018. Seats are limited. 
  5. Only completed applications will be considered.

V. Criteria for Selection of a Woman Leader
Each participant is required to nominate one high-potential woman leader from her or his organization to attend the Program with. The executive also commits to a minimum one-year sponsorship relationship with her or his nominee.  

Selection Criteria:
    • Mid-level professional (5-10 years of experience)
    • Regarded as “high potential” and is a key contributor to the institution
    • Capable of being promoted to the next level of leadership or broadening their role significantly

Please consider this criteria in determining the woman leader nominee:

• Mid-level professional, 5 – 10 years of professional experience

• Regarded as “high potential” who are key contributors to the institutions

• Have demonstrated the ability to lead people in their organization

• Motivated to take on new leadership challenges and opportunities
• People managers preferred but not required

• English proficiency

• Have demonstrated the ability to lead people in their organization

• Commitment to the following: Work with the Executive participant from their institution or the Women’s Financial Inclusion Initiative, Attend classroom training and virtual touchpoints, Complete M&E program surveys

Acceptance:

The Admission Committee will review all applications on a rolling basis. Only accepted applicants will be notified of admission. Once your application has been approved, you will be sent additional information to register for the course. Space in the program is limited.

Cancellation Policy: 

Upon accepting your application, Women’s World Banking will issue an invoice. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date in order to retain your place. Cancellations must be submitted in writing up to 30 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the Program will be subject to full payment.
